Thanks to Francesco Binfaré, Edra has freed man from the fixity of the traditional sofa. The theme of movement has always been a thought that has accompanied him throughout the design process, and which he then rationalized in the patent of the Intelligent Cushion. A tiny detail, invisible to the eye, which has revolutionized not only the way of sitting, but also the way of experiencing the sofa and socializing. Thanks to an innovative system consisting of joints of special materials inserted inside the pillows, backrests or armrests can be modeled as desired in a simple and effortless way.
The padding is made of Gellyfoam®, a special material, which is able to absorb movements in any position, while the coverings have been designed to be full-bodied and structured to adapt to the movement of the Intelligent Cushion without risking wear and tear over time.
A large seating system, straight, curved, two-seater, three-seater, boomerang-shaped with the application of these intelligent cushions. This idea has shown that it can generate an excellent product, essentially consisting of an innovative element capable, in its great simplicity, of adapting easily to the needs of the person.
